I have been using this dip belt for weighted dips and pull-ups, and it has been a welcome addition to my workouts. The belt feels sturdy in hand, with clean stitching and a material that is supportive without being overly stiff or uncomfortable around the waist. Unfortunately, there were no instructions included in the package. It came with the belt, the chain, and the clips, but they were not pre-attached. It took a few minutes to figure out, but I did have to go back to the product listing and look at the photos to confirm how everything was meant to go together. Once assembled, there were no issues.
The chain is thick and easy to load plates onto. There is enough length to add multiple plates, and once clipped in, everything stays in place during the set without shifting. Though, while the listing says it can support a plate load of 550-650 lbs, I don't trust that at all, given the gauge of the chain, so I'm going to call that marketing fluff as it's humanly impossible for anyone to support that load for dips or pullups. However, for a couple of 45lb plates, I'm confident the chain can handle that without issues. I have not noticed any rattling or movement while training. The wider belt helps spread the weight out and keeps pressure off one spot. Even with added weight, it does not dig into my hips or lower back, which makes it easier to focus on the exercise rather than adjusting the belt between sets.
I have gradually increased the weight, starting at 5lbs and the belt has handled it without any concerns. All in all, it is a straightforward, well-made dip belt that does what it is supposed to do, with the only real downside being the lack of assembly instructions in the box.
