Grip is unparalled. After reading reviews directly on the manufacturer's website, I agree with others that the mat is a bit squeaky. It's noticeable but I can live with it. Hopefully that subsides with use. The quality is stellar as all Manduka products are. It folds nicely just like the picture. Perfect for those who hate fluffy yoga mats. It's replacing my other Manduka 12yo travel natural rubber (read: stinky) mat which I washed and ruined its grip. Definitely do not submerge this mat due to its matte, absorbent surface. Overall, I'm happy!

Okay for normal yoga I’m sure, however I find bringing it to workout classes it doesn’t have as much of a cushion as other ones I’ve had so sometimes the floor is uncomfortable. I also use it for hot yoga. My old mat never showed much sweat absorption, but this one when I take my yoga towel mat off has sweat stains all over it and is not very wipeable with spray.

It’s a great mat—for 6 months. Unfortunately I received mine as a gift and cannot return it. However, it has completely lost its stickiness with normal use (in non-heated classes) six months after receiving the product. The surface is worn out (and I never used water or spray cleaner to clean; I only wiped with a towel). I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years, and my other Manduka mat lasted me a full decade. Very disappointing.
