As a 60yo woman with problem feet and arthritis (and hardwood floors), I have had a nearly impossible time trying to do yoga and other floor exercises, no matter what kind of mat I tried – even using THREE regular yoga mats stacked was not enough to minimize the PAIN I would experience in my feet, knees, hips and spine when trying to do floor work – or anything barefoot…. UNTIL NOW. Since this mat arrived I have been very happily getting through the yoga and other exercise that I have WANTED to be able to do for years! The cushioning is VASTLY superior over my previous system (THREE yoga mats layered) and SO much easier to take out and put away as well! I can finally be barefoot, and can be down on the floor without feeling like I'm being tortured! Excellent mat! I did purchase two, as it is narrower than I would like – but I also didn't want to spend over $100 for a wider one… So two it is!
I'm currently waiting for some self-adhesive velcro squares to be able to stick the two mats together more securely. If they don't work, I will sew on some velcro by hand. It would be really nice if the manufacturer would stitch velcro to the sides of these (hooks on one long edge and loops on the other) so I wouldn't have to. 🙂
EDIT TO ADD: My velcro wouldn't stay stuck to the mat, so am trying duct tape to keep the 2 mats together, and it is working great so far. Just be sure to tape them so you can still fold the mat one way. (See pictures) It makes a tall slim folded mat that will.fit, upright, against the wall in my closet.
(ignore the little square imprints… I just used the mat before taking pics, and I had a chair on it for some exercises. The imprints go away in a few minutes)

It's only been a week since I've purchased this mat but I love it! It's long in length and build with a sturdy type of material (semi-squishy and grips well). I do notice it gets a little wrinkly if you apply too much pressure in one spot. I use it to do my floor workouts. I'm not sure if you can wear sneakers on it (I'm nervous it might wear down the material) but I personally don't wear shoes and it works great. It's sweat proof which is good for those who sweat a lot (I just wipe it down after every use). It's easy to fold and store under a bed or closet. Overall, it's way better than using the floor alone (planks would hurt my forearm prior to buying this mat). I'm satisfied with the product and know it will last for quite a while! I recommend this mat!

Though this was bigger than I expected (I have a poor sense of dimension – the measurements are in the description), I found it useful. I went on a long car trip and didn’t want to take my whole meditation set with me. I left one fold , er… folded, I sat on the raised area with my crossed legs resting in the single layer in front of me. For me, a perfect meditation seat. I got to sit outside at some lovely rest stops in the woods beside the interstates, and it was also just fine inside. It folds up to a fair-sized block, but it’s pretty easy to stow.

My kid absolutely loves this mat for her tumbling! Super easy for the kids to get out and use on their own! Lightweight but very durable!
