The foundation unit module develops knowledge learned in the basic and introductory unit module to a level commensurate with working in the wellness field delivering hyperbaric oxygen therapy safely and effectively for wellness chamber operators and personnel.
The material contained in this book is intended to develop chamber operator skills and knowledge development to the next level. It aims to develop a solid foundation on which to continue learning. As part of an online distance learning program, this unit module is the first in the professional level units.
It develops technical know how and confidence in the underlying principals in HBOT to a graded higher level than previous instalments and readers can learn about the mechanisms of the therapy itself, underlying physics and physiology and some of the benefits of the modality as well as safety considerations and best practice.

Each lesson is completed by a short knowledge review quiz to establish that the material is understood and the next lesson builds knowledge development from there.
